NEW MILTON TTC LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE!
MESSAGE FROM CLUB CHAIRMAN SHAUN NEWCOMB
As Club Chairman, I am delighted to be able to announce the launch of our new club website today, 1st May. The website was designed by Andrew Daish with inputs and help from the committee, especially Malcolm and Steve. Work has been going on since July 2011 and my thanks go to everybody involved. The website cost just over £200 to design and set up and there will be an ongoing annual cost of c£11 to renew the domain name (www.newmiltonttc.com). Your committee feels that this is money well spent and we hope that you agree once you see the website in all its glory.
This fulfills a commitment made in our Club Action Plan submitted to the ETTA in July 2010 as part of our successful application to become a Premier Clubmark club. We now join the growing ranks of forward-thinking clubs who have their own website and we hope that it will give New Milton Table Tennis Club a higher profile and attract more members.
We have arranged to have links to our new website from the BDTTA and Bournemouth Sports websites in advance of the launch and have already received a number of unsolicited favourable comments from those quarters:- “Really great website, well done. Very clear and easy to navigate”. “The NMTTC website looks great. Really impressive!”. We are proud of our efforts and hope that you will agree.
All New Milton Club members and friends who are on Malcolm’s email contacts list should receive an invitation to subscribe to the website. You just have to click on “Accept Invitation” to subscribe to receive notices of club news and events. You will then receive confirmation that you will receive an email notification when a new “post” is made to the website. You can unsubscribe at any time, but why would you want to when you can be kept informed of the club’s activities completely free of charge?
Andrew Daish will remain as “Administrator” of the site so if you have any problems in subscribing or have any queries at all, please give him a call on 01590 679268.
We want to keep the website as vibrant and up to date as possible and all of the committee members will have the facility to post items. Remember, this is the club’s website, not just the committee’s so if you can think of any areas that can be improved or would like to see other types of information, please put your thoughts down on an email and send them to me.
