The Bournemouth and District Table Tennis league got underway last week with some highs and lows for the New Milton Club, who once again entered 10 teams into the league. Whilst the Premier’s A team had a “bye”, the club’s haul was 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. The club’s best performance came from the J team who stormed Div 5 with a 10-0 demolition of Merton J. As most of you will know, I was fortunate enough to be in London for much of the Paralympic Games (29.08.12-09.09.12) including the Opening Ceremony.  I had an accreditation to the ExCel, where of course the table tennis was staged, the Olympic Park, Paralympics GB House and some rather nice “Paralympics Family” lounges.
